My background in surrealism and painting really influenced how I approached this film. I wanted to tell a simple story but fill it with characters who feel complex and emotionally layered, all within a heightened version of reality. I also experimented with gallows humor because I feel it lets us face uncomfortable subjects in a way that blends tension, reflection, and a bit of dark laughter. For me, that balance can open the door to thinking about difficult ideas without turning away from them. I wanted the film to be crazy but meaningful. This was my film school thesis film, and the most meaningful part of the process was collaborating with friends and fellow artists I deeply respect and trust, and creating something truly special together.
