Onion was one of my earliest animated films, and it remains deeply personal to me. As a young adult, it became an abstract yet honest way to express who I was at the time. In 2026, the film was officially selected for the International Cultural Journal Award 2026, a milestone I’m incredibly grateful for. Beyond festival screenings, Onion will also be part of the Cinema in Schools initiative, in collaboration with Max Sir International Film Festival. Through this program, the film will reach 100 schools across Ukraine, including communities close to the frontlines. Of everything connected to this selection, this outreach is what I’m most proud of.
